An Apology

It's been close to three years since I've published something on this site.

It's not that I didn't have anything to say, but I have found myself becoming less interested in many vendors' latest products or services. This is especially true of those offering to make everything better for the Fortune 500 and their associated budgets. They have a way of keeping 99% of organizations with smaller budgets out of consideration and I just can't gather much excitement over that.

I do what I do because, first and foremost, I find it fun. While there are some exceptions, going on about how cool a product or service is doesn't usually fall into that category... so it's time for a change.

The Whisper in the Wires

I'll be publishing more often (easy to do when the current frequency is measured in years) and about what I consider to be more interesting things. I want to focus more on how to do stuff rather than what folks should buy to do it for them.

This doesn't mean there won't be the occasional product or service write-up, but don't want that to be the norm.

Now, let's see if I can keep to my commitments.
